Train Hit Heavy Equipment On Semi Trailer That Was High Centered On Crossing Puyallup WA

December 10, 1993. Puyallup, WA. Maybe the lowboy trailer was just to low for the grade of the crossing at Chrisella Road and Todd Road. It became stuck and unfortunately the freight train was unable to stop before striking it. The truck driver was able unhitch the semi from the trailer and save it from being included in the mess. The piece of heavy equipment and the trailer were destroyed. The train engine had significant damage too. Union Pacific along with the Pierce County Sheriff investigated the accident. Central Pierce Fire and Rescue or what was the known has North Puyallup Fire responded to the scene. Injuries if any were very minor. The tracks were closed for several hours while the mess was cleaned up.
