Here, I am describing activities we participate in at heavy equipment auctions. At Deep Creek Construction School, we go to several southern California equipment auctions, two days before the auction. On set days prior to the auctions, prospective buyers are allowed to evaluate and test equipment they are interested in. We go there to teast equipment we are certified in. We also attend so we can learn wise business practices such as: Buying good used equipment and vehicles for later profitable resale.

This is a video resume I did at Deep Creek Construction School. We all did a video resume – to sent to contractors hiring – to inform them about the skills I have and to stear them to my “you tube” site – heohopkins – where the can see the equipment I qualified on and what I did to earn my certificates.

Heavy Equipment Operator Training: The 6-week course provides participants with the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities required in the safe and efficient operation of specific pieces of heavy construction equipment and in preventative maintenance. Training is currently available on the following equipment: backhoe, bulldozer, excavator, rubber tired loader, skid steer and a vibratory roller. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will gain certification through the National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER).
