Cool action with them wiggle wagons. Wouldn’t you much rather be operating the 385C LME instead of that camera?

@MooseHunter403 They have worded it so that you must be “deemed competent” which covers (any or all of the following) a certificate (aka “ticket”) or licence, passing a written or oral test given by the company, or simply being “tried out” for a few minutes under direct supervision.

I definetly have a new respect for Hoe operators, I’ve been taking a course, not as easy as I thought but loving every minute of it. I’ve heard in Newfoundland You get a track endorsement on your licence if your trained and in Manitoba and BC (Alberta soon)you now need proof of training to be an operator, not sure how strict they are on enforcment though.

@anewbeggining21 I had a dozer guy that kept falling behind and not wanting to listen to me when I would explain how to dump the trucks and knock over the piles quickly. Finally I just took his dozer at coffee break and caught him up in 10 minutes, with everything nice and smooth. After he saw I knew how to run the machine and I wasn’t just telling him how to do things just for the sake of doing it MY way he started listening.

@vantagetes I don’t personally, but there are hot headed, know-it-alls, and assholes out there. Maybe that are older and been operating longer then you. Just wondering if any of them have given you a hard time
June 1st, 2010 at 12:03 pm
@anewbeggining21 Do you talk back to your boss?
June 1st, 2010 at 12:03 pm
Do you ever get a rowdy operator that talks back to you if you tell them to do something different or give em shit for taking to long etc. when all your doing is standing thier filming for your personal youtube channel?

@GinSinG1989 5 seconds over the length of a day is 25 minutes. When you can pop out a truck every 60 seconds that’s another 25 loads (which can be the difference of breaking even revenue wise or not).
June 1st, 2010 at 12:03 pm
what’s the difference if the truck is 5 seconds late, you’re not getting any production out of a 385 on a 2 foot cut anyways

@hummerjose what makes you say that? It’s Cat, and it’s the Mass Excavation boom and stick with a General Purpose bucket (just the biggest GP they make haha).
June 1st, 2010 at 12:03 pm
Is it possible that the bucket and arm of this Caterpillar excavator is Liebherr?
Good videos

June 1st, 2010 at 12:03 pm

June 1st, 2010 at 12:03 pm
We call them wheelbarrows over here.
Good stuff!
June 1st, 2010 at 12:03 pm
you got that right , trucks dont stop, trucks dont wait .
June 1st, 2010 at 12:03 pm
Yeah, those “wiggle wagon” operators are on the slow side, I will sign out a driver if he makes me wait, cant afford to have trucks sitting around at 100 an hour.
June 1st, 2010 at 12:03 pm
I’m a foreman now but I still run stuff here and there.
June 1st, 2010 at 12:03 pm

June 1st, 2010 at 12:03 pm
i was driving a 5222 MOXY 5 years ago it was fucked but i loved it seen as i was only 20 , ive been told its been cut up now
June 1st, 2010 at 12:03 pm
It only has a few more than when I had it, it got scraped pretty good within the first couple weeks of owning the thing (wasn’t me) =/ I hopped on and pounded a few trucks out a little while ago, poor truckers didn’t know what hit them!
June 1st, 2010 at 12:03 pm
Nice vid wing. Looks like that rear of your old 385 needs a little TLC. You miss runnin it?
June 1st, 2010 at 12:03 pm
