  3. Tristan729 Says:

    Great job!!!

  4. vantagetes Says:

    8 hours if you’re lucky! Typically 15 or so…

  5. xray606 Says:

Wow… Kind of like a giant grinding wheel for 8 straight hours I guess.

  6. vantagetes Says:

In that case the 770 would suit you just fine.

  7. dskrum Says:

oh k thanks for the reply a 770 would probley be just fine for bladeing township roads then we have a 140h already just lookin at a blade that don’t cost so much and a littel newer.

  8. vantagetes Says:

Expect to go through a set of cutting edges every shift.

  9. xray606 Says:

Cool… I use to love riding in the plow all night during storms when I was a kid. Something about being out there by yourself. What kind of wear is the blade getting from that work?

  10. vantagetes Says:

The M isn’t ours it’s the City’s (we were contracted out to them). 770 is a nice little grader but too small for the dirt work we do, it has trouble keeping up to the haul roads.

  11. tjones2269 Says:

plowing the roads wears cutting edges down fast

  12. dskrum Says:

you didn’t try to plow with the new m series blade how do you like that 770 were looking at buying one?

  13. vantagetes Says:

    Awesome, thanks for the peek!

  14. swanty32e Says:

need a new wiper!! good job wing

  18. vantagetes Says:

I’m thinking the rubber tracks would dissapear quickly on the pavement.

  19. 5thgencarlokid Says:

those new deere high speed dozers would be awesome for that

  20. vantagetes Says:

LOL sure Jeff you’re welcome to try.

  21. HeadshotHarry Says:

ah yeah they use the belly plows. In a way they’re better than regular ones, more like a grader, you can put a little weight on the plow. The city wont hire the belly plows here though. Dunno why.

  22. tigur4 Says:

When i come down there… can i drive your grader? :D

  23. vantagetes Says:

They run these funny “under truck” plows here (with sanders) for the most part, the graders seem to handle the bulk of the snow (storms etc) and then trucks to sand / catch any more light or blowing snow. At least that’s what I’ve observed.

  24. HeadshotHarry Says:

do you guys use graders instead of truck plows over there?

  25. anewbeggining21 Says:

Cool vid. What year is that Deere machine? Now how would you like to be doing that same thing but in a 1971 Champion D600 with a screaming 2 stroke Detroit? lol I live in Hamilton Ont. and alot of the contractors have old early 1970’s Champion and Wabco graders, with a few newer Deere and newer Champions tossed in the mix. I would hate to operate them but I love seeing those old Champs.
