yeah i hate seeing a nice machine with big scratches along the counterweight. look forward to it :)

  2. vantagetes Says:

Yes that is correct, the edge was a little high and when I spun to the truck my counterweight would have rubbed. I pulled the dirt down against my track so I could swing without losing any paint (pet peeve of mine).

I have one uploading right now!

  3. MultiSafron Says:

  14. glens1690 Says:

    dude you got a haircut!

  15. vantagetes Says:

The stick actually stays on, unpinning the cylinder to allow that little bit more “bend” is way faster than having to bring a crane in to take the stick off every time. Still goes on 2 trucks as the counterweight has to come off.

  16. VpKnockah Says:

Great vids! keep em comin. You live my dream!

  17. CataniaD6Kfan Says:

oh ok! I thought that, when you haul that 385, you disassembled the whole stick and counterweight and you hauled it on 2 trucks.

  18. vantagetes Says:

Haha just wait until I upload the one from today Popcorn! I had about 6″ of clearance when I swung the counterweight around.

  19. vantagetes Says:

When we float the machine it’s too high. You can either take the bucket off (pain in the ass cause the linkage flops around and you can break it if you set the boom on it) or pull the stick cylinder pin. The cable goes to the small bit welded halfway down the stick and holds it up so you can move around without it flopping all over the place.

  20. vantagetes Says:

Yeah the trick is to always have yourself in a position that you can catch yourself with the bucket.

  21. vantagetes Says:

    Miles haha!

  22. JimBruce42 Says:

    great video man,

Kind of a tight bench you got yourself propped up on there huh?

  23. CataniaD6Kfan Says:

What is the cable hanging from your boom?

  24. 69rd96 Says:

That’s a perfect excavator and truck match right there!

  25. lue1975lue Says:

Damn, u get some wicked angles on that thing. I guess you use the bucket for stability?
